Day 266: Looking Out Into the Near Future

Alot of us make long term goals, like buying a house or saving retirement. We also make short term personal finance goals like creating an emergency fund or paying off a credit card. One thing that we have been trying to work on, is planning for our immediate financial needs.

Sometime we find ourselves revising our budget on the fly. Examples of this are times when we both will be busy for a week and not be getting home until late. When we get to these weeks we modify our grocery budget to account for the fact that we will eat a couple dinners outside of the house.

We try to make time every weekend to figure out how the next week may affect our finances. These decisions affect our short term goals and our long term goals.
