Day 206: A Great $5,000 Investment For Anyone With an American Express Card

For anyone with an American Express card, you’ll have an opportunity to turn $5,000 into $40,000 on Monday. American Express is selling items on a daily basis at a very deep discount in their monthlong My Wishlist promotion.

On Monday, they will be selling three 2007 Porsche Caymans for $5,000. The Cayman is a $50,000 car. The Queen of Debt and myself figure we should see if we can buy one. You need an American Express card to qualify for the rights to purchase one. We figure that as an investment, it has great potential, though this is really just a contest.

We figure we’ll try anyways. Yes we’ll add $5,000 to our debt, but the sale of said Cayman would net us at least $30,000 after taxes are paid effectively paying off our credit card debt. While the chances of actually being one of three is extremely slim to not ever gonna happen, we have to try.

If you have an American Express card, you should try too. Just know that if you get one, you should sell it right away.
